SRU Women’s Soccer

 Today the Rock women’s soccer team had a huge comeback win vs rival IUP. IUP put one in the back of the net early in the first half to go up 1-0. The Rock came storming back with a goal of their own midway through the first half. The Rock scored off a corner with under a minute left to secure the win. The Rock is now on a 5 game winning streak and hasn’t lost a game in the second half of PSAC play!

    I love to hear that we beat IUP. Good job Leah and rest of the team! I also heard you guys made playoffs, that's awesome. Can't wait for the rest of the regular season and for the postseason.

    I'm happy to see SRU's women's soccer have a winning streak. I am even more happy to hear the 5-game streak was completed by beating IUP!

    Great job to the soccer team in getting the dub. 5 game winning streak is very hard to do. Also, coming back after getting scored on is hard to do but not impossible so great job to the team playing together to get the dub. Teamwork makes the dream work!

    Creating a blog about SRU sports is such a great way to share the word on how our athletics have been doing. It is exciting that SRU was able to secure the win over IUP, one of our biggest rivals. It is awesome that the soccer team is doing so well this season. Making a comeback is great skill to have, especially because of the mental aspect of the game. Great job! I hope the team can keep up the winning streak!

SRU Womens Soccer

 Today the Rock Women’s Soccer team defeated undefeated Mercyhurst. With the win the Rock secured its PSAC playoff spot. The Lakers went up late in the first half 1-0, but the Rock stormed back in the second half scoring 2 goals. Rock goals were by Maddie Delucio and Ashley Rea. The Rock have a game away vs IUP this Saturday.
