SRU Volleyball game
Slippery Rock Volleyball came out strong in the first set to go up 16-12 vs Clarion. The stands were packed for their breast cancer awareness game. The Rock ended up losing the first set 25-21. The rock then dropped the second set. There was a serving contest and 50-50 during the intermission that had a lot of fan engagement. The Rock also dropped the third set vs a nationally ranked Clarion team. All the sets were very competitive and it was great to see the turnout by RockNation!
These sets were intense. SRU gave a good fight. Didn't you win a shirt in the serving contest? I didn't know Clarion was nationally ranked. Really cool to see how many came out to support SRU and breast cancer awareness!
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming out to the game Leah. It was nice to see so many people there on a Tuesday night! Unfortunately, we could not come away with a win from any of the sets, although they were close and competitive. Clarion is a really good team, hence why they are nationally ranked. Good luck with your upcoming soccer game vs IUP!
ReplyDeleteI played volleyball when I was younger and loved it, so I am excited to go to a game at some point! The serving contest sounds fun and seems like a great way to get some of the fans involved. I love watching a very competitive game and am glad there were so many people there to support SRU Volleyball!
