SRU Women’s Soccer

 Today the Rock women’s soccer team had a huge comeback win vs rival IUP. IUP put one in the back of the net early in the first half to go up 1-0. The Rock came storming back with a goal of their own midway through the first half. The Rock scored off a corner with under a minute left to secure the win. The Rock is now on a 5 game winning streak and hasn’t lost a game in the second half of PSAC play! 

SRU Men’s Soccer

 The SRU men’s soccer team defeated CalU yesterday 3-0. The Rock went up 2-0 in the first half with a beautiful follow up finish by SWE student athlete Luke Gildea. With this win the Rock is in position to clinch a playoff birth. The Rock has 9 points in the PSAC west standings and currently is in 3rd place. The Rock takes on UPJ this Saturday. 

SRU Womens Soccer

 Today the Rock Women’s Soccer team defeated undefeated Mercyhurst. With the win the Rock secured its PSAC playoff spot. The Lakers went up late in the first half 1-0, but the Rock stormed back in the second half scoring 2 goals. Rock goals were by Maddie Delucio and Ashley Rea. The Rock have a game away vs IUP this Saturday.

SRU Volleyball game

 Slippery Rock Volleyball came out strong in the first set to go up 16-12 vs Clarion.  The stands were packed for their breast cancer awareness game. The Rock ended up losing the first set 25-21. The rock then dropped the second set. There was a serving contest and 50-50 during the intermission that had a lot of fan engagement. The Rock also dropped the third set vs a nationally ranked Clarion team. All the sets were very competitive and it was great to see the turnout by RockNation!
